Firefox 6 leaked for download Saturday, 3.6.20 released today

A lot of websites are just now reporting that Firefox 6 has been leaked two days early. While it says 6 and is on the official FTP it appears to be the final version but many are reporting that it claims to still be beta. Majorgeeks has done this dance numerous times in the past 11 years so let us give you our best guess. Typically the file is released on the FTP server and it takes about 2 days for Mozilla to officially post it. One can assume this is due to one of two reasons; it’s a big company and memos must fly back and forth to complete the monumental task of posting it on the FTP and the website OR they simply quietly release it and let the diehard fan tests for last minute bugs before releasing it as final code to the masses. We vote for the latter.

While all the news sites are showing up for work Monday morning and just now reporting on this (it's actually 4 days early), Firefox 6 final has been available here since Saturday. You can download it here.

Mozilla just released 3.6.20 for you old school users. You can download that here.
