A fight over flirty texts and sultry voicemail messages lead to a stabbing at a homeless camp in Palm Bay, FL. The messages were apparently to convince a woman, who is also homeless, to leave her husband (also homeless).
According to what police spokeswoman Yvonne Martinez told WTSP, Donna Waring told police that Dale Wayne Robinson, 55, sent her texts and left voicemails saying that when she was ready to leave her husband, she should give him a call. This strikes me funny - leave to where?
Her husband, Brian Waring, got upset and went with Patrick McKinney to confront Robinson. They spoke at the homeless camp where they all live, behind the AutoZone.
Robinson armed himself with a baseball bat and a hunting knife about 8 inches long, according to Martinez, and the three men fought. Waring suffered a deep cut on his right arm. McKinney was cut on the left side of the neck and left hand.
After he was read his rights, Robinson said he was in a fight with the two men because they accused him of flirting with Donna Waring, according to police records. He told police during that dispute, the men began punching and choking him, so he grabbed his knife for self-defense but does not remember stabbing the men.
Robinson was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon
