A 55-year-old Groveland woman was charged Friday with shoplifting more than $500 worth of groceries from Publix because she didn't want to wait in line, police said.
Apparently she stopped and customer service and bought some smokes on the way out.
She later said she did this because she “did not want to wait in line.”
Hope Hanak was charged with grand theft and two counts of possessing a controlled substance after some pills (Xanax and phentermine) were found in her purse, according to an arrest affidavit.
Again, living in Florida this behavior is more common than not. While you think these senior citizens are just old and hence behaving poorly (driving) the truth is the drinking and drugs in elderly here is out of control. I have a buddy in the hospital recently and they asked him if he wanted a nicotine patch or something to drink. Yes, drink. They have gin, rum, whiskey and more at the hospitals to give the elderly having withdrawals.
So, what do one of these hags look like? Here you go:
Sadly, this one's only 55.
