Florida Friday: Bumbling Burglar Falls Through Ceiling During Dinner (Video)

A man in Daytona Beach was arrested after he fell through the ceiling of a local hibachi restaurant. In his infinite wisdom, Justin Grimes, 30, decided that the dinner rush was a perfect time for his caper. His aspirations of quick loot fell short so to say.

Grimes reportedly disabled the lock in the restroom so that no one could enter and attempted to crawl through the drop ceiling over to the manager's office... he miscalculated and wound up directly over the dining area.



According to WESH a number of diners told the manager they heard noises in the ceiling, and when the manager went to his office to check the surveillance video, he found ceiling tiles broken, wires dangling and a pair of shoes on the floor.

As the manager was calling 9-1-1 Grimes joined one diner by falling on him.

Grimes was arrested and charged with burglary of an occupied structure.
