Police were called to a south Florida Taco Bell after the manager noticed a man who appeared to be passed out inside a truck in the drive-thru lane revving the engine - the truck also was pouring out smoke.
When police arrived they found Matthew Falkner, 30, smelling of booze - passed out inside the truck with his foot on the accelerator.
Then, according to NBC Miami, one of the deputies asked for Falkner's identification, and he replied "No," the report said. When asked again for his I.D., Falkner reached into his fast food bag and took out a taco.
A second deputy told Falkner they were asking for I.D., not a taco, and Falkner shrugged and began trying to eat the taco, the report said.
At this point Falkner was asked to exit the vehicle. Lucky for him...deputies then noticed that the vehicle was actually on fire and quickly extinguished the blaze. The smoke pouring out when they arrived might have been a clue...but what do I know?
Faulkner was given the breath test which registered his blood alcohol content at 0.227 and 0.225, 3 times the Florida limit. He was arrested for DUI, booked then released on his own recognizance pending trial.
He may have been heard saying "yo quiero Taco Bell" as he exited the jail..
