A JetBlue plane on the way to Boston, MA., made an unscheduled landing in Orlando, FL., after the emergency slide partially deployed inside the front galley area pinning a flight attendant; witnesses say they could only see the attendant's head sticking up from the "inflatable object."
According to the statement from JetBlue in the Orlando Sentinel, flight 1266 from Fort Myers landed safely in Orlando about 3:45 p.m. There were no injuries reported, the airline said. The plane was taxied to a gate, where passengers exited through a rear door.
"The aircraft was taken out of service for further inspection," said JetBlue spokesman Loren Durán. He said the evacuated passengers were being put on a different flight to Boston.
