A serial Lego thief on the lam from New Jersey was arrested in Wesley Chapel after CCTV captured him stealing Legos.
According to arrest records obtained by Fox 13 News, Shannon Kirkley was spotted on Toys R Us surveillance footage Tuesday, removing a toy chest from its cardboard box, then slipping 12 Lego Star Wars sets into the box. He then tried to check out, paying only for the toy chest and not for the over $300 worth of Legos hidden inside.
Upon his arrest, Kirkley was also found with a bag of the "Dark Force" (cocaine) and that stealing Legos is his M.O. A police spokesperson had the best response to the arrest, "I guess you can say the Force was not strong with this one!" LOL.
By the look of his mugshot, he likes the "Dark Force" a real lot!
Kirkley was charged with grand theft, resisting, and possession of a controlled substance. Lego the soap!
