A Cape Coral man who lost a boat being stored in his backyard to a lightning strike last week was turned in to police by another lightning strike that hit his house this time.....and his pot.
The house of course was being used as a marijuana grow site. According to NBC-2, the fire was contained by the Cape Coral Fire Department and as the house was being cleared what appeared to be a marijuana grow-house operation was discovered, according to police which got a search warrant.

The marijuana was seized as evidence. Fifteen plants were inside the home, seven were outside and a large suitcase was packed with packaged pot. The pot weighed 8.5-pounds, according to police.
Jaroslav Kratky, 65, was arrested and charged with production/cultivation of marijuana within 1000 ft. of Church or School, and Possession of Marijuana. I am guessing that it had to be in close proximity to the church.
