A man in Riveria Beach was arrested after he knocked a man unconscious with a bottle of hot sauce. Police say the altercation started when Shawn Deandre Thomas took issue with another man that asked for his crackers.
According to the Palm Beach Post, Thomas is facing charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and battery. Thomas told responding officers that he felt disrespected when the unnamed 57 year old asked him for his crackers. So he picked up a bottle of hot sauce and allegedly threw it at the man’s head, knocking him unconscious.
Another man tried to help and he was subsequently punched in the throat.
No bail has been set in the case as Thomas refused to make an appearance in court to answer the charges.
