Florida Friday: Man claims alleged police theft wrecked him (Mugshot)

Posted by: Jon Ben-Mayor on 06/27/2014 07:20 AM [ comments Comments ]

After being arrested during a drug sting, Tyrone Booker, 30, was placed in the back of a cruiser along with about $300 which was in wallet. The officer left Booker inside the vehicle and continued with the investigation.

After a short while the officer returned to the cruiser, Booker claimed that an undercover officer had taken his money. Booker did not realize that patrol cars have surveillance cameras just for such occasions. Booker was transported to jail and the vehicle was searched, no money was found inside the vehicle.

Then, according to First Coast News, the arresting officer looked at the footage from the camera in the cruiser. The video showed Booker spitting on his hands to lubricate his fingers and repeatedly putting his hands in the back of his pants, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

JSO then performed a strip search and found nothing. When threatened with a trip to the emergency room for a cavity search Booker spilled the beans; he had rolled the money up with a rubber band and put the roll in his rectum.

The money was not counted - Booker was charged with various offenses and booked.. ;)
