Richard Addy, 69, is one heck of a husband as he always holds his wife to the highest standard - even when that high point happens to be the roof of his SUV.
Addy was spotted by police in Stuart driving with a woman riding on top of his vehicle as it came to a stop.
According to the write-up on Off The Beat with Will Greenlee, Police helped the woman, identified as Addy’s wife, off the roof.
Addy said they argued after drinks at a restaurant in Palm City and at a bar at a resort on Hutchinson Island. They were staying at the resort because of work being done to their Palm City home.
After an altercation at the resort, Addy said he decided to leave which is when police noticed female "Cling-on" on the roof. Addy claims he didn't realize she was there.
He was arrested for reckless driving and also given a citation for allowing her to ride on the roof.
