Craig Elliot Bierema was arrested after he decided to take a naked swim in the Ocklawaha River. The mid-day swim took place after Bierema had a "couple of beers."
Multiple boaters called the sheriff's office to report the bathing-suit-less manatee making his way up the river. When several deputies arrived they found Bierema stark naked on a log waving his... arms and screaming.
A woman nearby told Bierema that officers were behind him, at which time he bent over and “mooned” the officials. The man was surprised to find there actually were officers behind him and said he was only trying to be funny when he bent over, according to the report obtained by the Ocala Star Banner. Not sure how you moon someone when already naked...
Bierema told deputies that he had only 5 beers.
Bierema was arrested for exposure of sexual organs and taken to Marion County Jail - hopefully they put some clothes on him before he arrived!
