'Faces of meth' have nothing on the up and coming 'hair of meth' - Deputies were alerted to a meth lab by neighbors complaining about horrible smells and high foot traffic leading in and out of a backyard shed in Volusia county, FL.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, a concerned neighbor called deputies around noon Thursday to report the constant heavy foot traffic coming in and out of a neighboring shed in the 1500 block of Primrose Lane, according to Volusia County Sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught.
Other neighbors told deputies that they saw a man leap over a fence behind the shed and hide a bag in the wooded area.
The bag was recovered after a neighbor showed police where it was stashed, it contained materials commonly associated with the making of meth, including a couple of soda bottles containing an unknown liquid according to Haught.
Gary Beatty, 38, was arrested for the manufacture of methamphetamine and possession of chemicals associated with manufacturing meth. Beatty was taken to Volusia County Jail in Daytona Beach.
