Florida Friday: Road raging drunkard receives instant karma (Mugshot)

Karma rolled up and bit a Gainesville man after he was involved in a drunken road rage incident at a traffic light.

Joseph H. Carl, 48, smashed into the back of another vehicle at the red light, Carl then jumped out of his truck and began banging on the other driver's window - it is important to put your vehicle in park if you choose to jump out and attack another motorist. Carl forgot this important bit of common sense information.

According to the Gainesville Sun, the driver of the other vehicle was frightened and drove away, leaving nothing to hold back Carl's Dodge 1500 truck.

The truck began to roll, and Carl, standing in front of the vehicle, put out his arms and tried to stop it, but it ran over him, the report said.

Responding officers noted a strong odor of alcohol coming from Carl and also found an opened 16 oz beer can inside the truck. Carl claims that he doesn't drink and drive - he only does it on his way home. Ah yes, drunk logic!

Carl failed the standard sobriety test at the scene and was found to have a blood-alcohol level of .22 - He was arrested and charged with DUI.
