So what do you worry about first? Drowning or radiation poisoning?
Christopher Le Cun was enjoying a family outing on the water off the coast of the Hutchingson Island near St Lucie when he noticed some bright yellow buoys and something enticing in the water - little did he know it would totally suck!
Le Cun and Robert Blake, a family friend, suited up in dive suits to explore the underwater structure...the curiosity was sucking them in. Now mind you, the bright yellow buoys clearly warn to "stay back 100 feet" but you know - Flo-rida.
According to WFLA, Le Cun says, "I swam right up to this big structure and it looks like a building under water. I felt a little bit of current… All of a sudden it got a little quicker I said this ain’t right, this ain’t right…" That water structure turns out to be a 16 foot wide, quarter mile long pipe that sucks in about 500,000 gallons of water to cool the nuclear reactors, according to FPL.
Blake watched his friend get sucked in "like a wet noodle." Blake surfaced in a panic. Le Cun’s wife Britanny was crying and praying in the boat when her husband beneath was trying hard to hang on.
Le Cun was deposited out the other side in the plant's reservoir and was not injured - a lawsuit to come.
