Florida Friday: Swan Punch! (Video)

A man was arrested after he punched a swan. The incident was observed by 2 off-duty officers walking together in the park (there may be another story there...).

Sor Angel Velez, 59, walked between the off-duty cops and close to the mother swan and her cygnets. Momma swan did not like Velez' close proximity to her babies and moved toward him in an apparent effort to protect them. Velez kept walking by but returned and punched the swan.

He was detained by the off-duty park walking cops until uniformed officers arrived to take over.

Velez was arrested for suspicion of injuring wildlife on public property and sentenced to 10 days in jail... this was his swan song.
