Well at least the area very close to Vero is. Sharks, crazy people, 'gators and bombs! 
WPTV reports that the beach at Round Island Park is virtually deserted. And the ocean stretching a mile and a half offshore from Indian River County is cleared of any extra boat traffic.
From the sand, you can't make out this detonation of recently uncovered World War II munitions. But video from one of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contractor boats shows what was done.
