There isn't much of a story involved in this post but I was amazed that the woman could even offer an explanation to the deputy but she did. The woman said that she is "considered an alcoholic and that is how I went off the road."
No, that explains why she was drunk - the extreme intoxication is why she went off the road and probably more accurately the passing out that followed.
According to Click Orlando, the Marion County Sheriff's Office found Peterson trapped inside a car that struck some bushes along Highway 40 in Fort McCoy, FL.
Peterson failed field sobriety tests and was arrested, deputies said. I find that statement funny, of course she failed the tests - she blew a 0.41, it is amazing that she was even conscious much less standing!
The Sheriff's Office said Peterson's submitted to a breath test at the Marion County Jail and recorded a 0.41 blood alcohol level. The legal limit is 0.08.
Peterson was immediately taken to a hospital, said deputies, who added that she was later returned to jail.
