A Deltona, FL., man was arrested after police responded to calls that he was giving kids a nasty treat on Halloween; the man allegedly was answering the door with his robe open.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that two brothers told deputies they were trick-or-treating in their neighborhood Thursday night when other children pointed out John Vowels' home and said he was naked.
The brothers didn't believe the other children, and went to the house. Vowels answered the door wearing an open robe, the Sheriff's Office said.
The boys ran away and when they told their father, he called the Sheriff's Office.
A deputy who responded looked into Vowels' window and saw him naked on his couch.
"Vowels acknowledged that he may have answered the door to trick-or-treaters in his robe and said he offered them money because he didn't have any Halloween candy," the Sheriff's Office said.
Vowels was arrested and booked into the Volusia County Jail.
