Florida man started blaze to rid his computer of bugs

A man in Orlando, FL., had to be pulled from his burning apartment by firefighters - the man admitted to setting the fire in order "to burn the bugs in his home and computer." Police on scene say that apartment was "deplorable" with trash and beer cans littered about most rooms.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the man, whose name has not been released, told authorities he started the fire "to burn the bugs in his home and computer," according to the police report released Monday.

The officer filled out paperwork for the man to be hospitalized under the state's Baker Act, according to the report, describing him as "a danger to himself and others."

The man is not expected to be charged in the case due to no other apartments being damaged, the case is now in the hands of the arson inspector.
