A woman in West Boca, FL., called 911 multiple times from the parking lot of Publix, while seated inside of a shopping cart - she told the 911 dispatcher that a man was attempting to take her cart away (the man was a Publix employee attempting to round up stray carts).
According to the arrest report obtained by the SunSentinel, Catherine Dajnowski, 40, told the dispatcher a man was trying to take her cart.
The responding deputies talked to a male Publix employee, who said he asked Dajnowski multiple times for the cart back, according to the report. One of the deputies instructed Dajnowski to give the cart back to the employee, which she did - the deputies then left the scene.
Dajnowkski called 911 again - so the deputies returned and told her to stop calling 911. Dajnowski was disinclined to acquiesce to the deputies request and called 911 again - with the deputy standing right next to her. She was arrested and charged with misuse of an emergency line.
Dajnowski is currently being held at the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $2,250 bail.
