A giant fish tank at the T-Rex restaurant in Downtown Disney sprung a leak during the dinner rush, sending diners scrambling for higher ground. A witness heard "a big noise" and water then began pouring out of the tank in a steady stream. This takes the 'wet bar' thing to the extreme!
According to the Orlando-Sentinel, witnesses said employees scooped up the fish in a net as the water level dropped quickly and brought out trash cans and long-handled squeegees. Kate Wallace, 28, of San Diego, who is on vacation, praised the staff's quick response.
"The staff — they were doing the best job that they could," she said. "It was craziness. Just kind of people freaking out. It's not something that you see very often. How do you respond to that?"
"It was chaos," one man posted on Facebook.
Wallace said that it appeared that a seam failed on the tank, noting that people were seated right beneath the leak and that they must have gotten wet.
No injuries were reported.
