Go Retro With These 3 Classic Screensavers

Some of us geeks love to tinker around. Maybe running Windows 95 in VMWare or keeping a classic computer around. To us, it's fun but requires a lot of time and tinkering. For those looking for a retro experience, there are simpler ways to go about it.
In this case, how about three old school screensavers. They are simply .scr (screensaver) files. All you do is extract the .scr file, right-click on it and choose install. Done! They take very little space on your computer, and there's virtually no risk of problems.
Here are three free screensavers we added this week that we think you'll enjoy:
Flying Toaster Screensaver was found originally on the Apple, but also on Windows machines. It's toasters. Flying.

3DPipes Screensaver Was around, if memory serves, from Windows 95 and went away when Vista arrived. It has a ton of options, whereas the others have few.

Aurora Screensaver is probably not the best of the bunch with an almost Matrix effect, but it's still kind of cool looking.

If none of these float your boat, we do have a screensaver category here. We don't keep a lot of screensavers on MajorGeeks but clean, safe and decent screensavers are far and few between.
