Goat jumps from roof, kills kid in Turkey

The sacrificial goat jumped from a rooftop after escaping before a sacrificial ceremony for the Eid al-Adha festival.
The 13 year old boy, Heval Yildirim, was playing with his friends on the street below when the freak accident happened.
According to the Independent, Heval’s father Mehmet brought the goat and storied it on the roof because there was not enough room in their apartment. The boy was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead upon arrival.
He told police that the terrified animal had vaulted the fence of its small roof enclosure before it fell.
The state prosecutor has described the case as “unprecedented”.
No one else was injured in this tragic accident.
