Who’s the most searched basketball team on Google? What pop star is topping the charts in searches? Starting today, Google has introduced Top Charts in Google Trends to help you discover the most popular people, places and things in more than 40 categories, from movies to sports teams to tourist attractions. These lists are ranked by search interest and will be updated monthly. For example, the charts below showcase the 10 most-searched cities, movies and scientists in April. To see others, go to Google Trends and click "Top Charts" on the left-hand side.
Today they've also added a new and vibrant way to see top trending searches as they happen. You'll see a new link on the Trends homepage where you can see the latest trending topics on Google appear in colorful visual display.
