Googles barge moved to Stockton

Posted by: Timothy Weaver on 03/08/2014 07:07 AM [ comments Comments ]

Google's mysterious barge set sail after the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission ordered them to move their barge.

It now resides at Stockton, a hot bed of gang violence.

It is part of a three boat fleet that has put cost estimates at 50M.

And it's ugly.

Google said in a statement: "It's been a busy six months for our barge and it's grown tired of all the attention, so we are moving it to Stockton where it can have a break, enjoy the city's delicious asparagus, warmer climate and get a bit of rest before its next chapter.”

A report in the local press says that Stockton is better know for "soaring home foreclosures, high unemployment, terrifying gang violence and a municipal bankruptcy."

Chief of the Stockton Chamber of Commerce, Douglass Wilhoit Jr. said: "I don't think anybody really knows what they're doing here or how long they will be here, but anything they do is positive for the city and for the Port of Stockton."

Some internet rumors are out there that say Google is building a center for electronic sorcery. Others post that it is a staging port for some upcoming alien invasion. Still others say it is a slave ship containing imprisoned extraterrestrials. Other mundane posts indicate it will be a showroom for Google Glass.
