The FBI announced that for the past year, they believe that hacktivist associated with the hacking group "Anonymous" has been hacking into sensitive government systems.

According to an FBI memo, the attacks exploit flaws in Adobe's ColdFusion web app development software. The hackers have used a backdoor to compromise systems and steal data. The US army, Department of Energy, Department of Health and Human Services, and others had all been targeted.

The warning was in consideration that the attacks were carried out by Lauri Love, 28, of Stradishall, England and others. last month, Love was indicted in New Jersey.

"The majority of the intrusions have not yet been made publicly known," the Feds warned. "It is unknown exactly how many systems have been compromised, but it is a widespread problem that should be addressed."
