Hashing Performs Hash Calculations, Comparisons

Posted by: Jon Ben-Mayor on 01/04/2018 07:25 AM [ comments Comments ]

Hashing is designed to quickly calculate and compare hashes of multiple files.

The interface is very simple to understand and use. Simply drag and drop files into the main window and you're immediately presented with the MD5 and SHA1 values. From here you can find identicals, compare, save as JSON, clear or look at further options.

While very simple to use and understand, the options really complete Hashing. You can choose from six different colored themes, and seven different hashes including MD5, SHA1, SHA384, RIPEMD160, CRC32, SHA256, and SHA512. Finally, you can prefer lower casing, prefer CRC32 to decimal, close to the tray icon, and enable high priority.

Comparing hashes of multiple files isn't necessarily rocket science with numerous apps available to do the just this, but Hashing does a wonderful job of this while offering plenty of options and features for advanced users.
