A potential payment card breach is being investigated at the Pennsylvania Hershey Park.
The park said, “We have received reports from some of our guests that fraud charges appeared on their payment cards after they visited our property.”
An external computer security firm is working with the park to investigate the reports. The company has security measures in place to prevent unauthorized access to its network.
However, sources at three financial institutions, technology journalist Brian Krebs reported on Wednesday, that a pattern of fraudulent activity was detected on customer payment cards used at the park between March and May of this year.
According to the banks, cards were used at food and beverage outlets, ticketing stations and the Hershey Lodge.
