While details remain unknown at this time, Aron Ralston, 38 who became famous after cutting off his own hand to free himself from a Utah canyon, has been arrested on domestic violence charges.
The Denver Post reports that Ralston, 38, was arrested Saturday night and is being held in the Denver City Jail facing one count of assault and one count of wrongs to minors.
In 2010, his story was made into a movie, '127 Hours,' starring James Franco. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
