I do not think that there is a customer loyalty program for shoplifters, but if there was this guy would be top of the list! After looking at his mugshot the incident is not at all surprising.
Jeffrey Clinton Foss, 50, had just been released from the Marion County Jail on a shoplifting charge when he was picked up again, within 24 hours of his release, at the same store for the same charge.
According to the Ocala Star Banner, Ocala police officer David Moorehead was patrolling at the Walmart at 4980 E. Silver Springs Blvd. when he saw Jeffrey Clinton Foss, 50, riding a bicycle with no lights in the parking lot.
A store employee notified the responding officer that Mr. Foss had thrown something just before they stopped him. Police recovered a pillowcase containing multiple items, including the price tag for the bike which Foss was riding.
Foss denied taking anything from the store, but surveillance footage proved otherwise. The video clearly showed Foss taking the various items, stuffing them into the pillowcase and then grabbing the bike and simply walking out of the store.
Foss was charged with retail grand theft and was taken back to the jail.
