How To: Enable LTE on iPhone 5 for T-Mobile

We all know that the iPhone 5 is coming to T-Mobile, who is getting great press because of their no contract, unlimited program. I was considering switching myself, and might when my contract is up but I am one of those lucky people who are grandfathered into a no limit data plan on AT&T but the switch would save me $60 a month on two phones so the jury remains out.

Anyway, the big problem isn’t the switch; instead it would be having to get a new phone that is able to run on the T-Mobile network. If I wanted to use my current phone it would have to be unlocked or jailbroken.

Then, even if I had a jailbroken iPhone, I would not be able to use the LTE network but Leimoble has instructions on how to enable LTE on T-Mobile but only if you have an unlocked AT&T model A1428 or an officially unlocked model A1428. There are a ton of A1428 iPhone 5 phones out there but if you are on Verizon, forget it.

If you fall into this category and are felling like tinkering with your iPhone then head to leimobile.com/how-to-enable-lte-on-iphone-5-for-t-mobile for all the details.
