How to opt out of targeted ads on your smartphone

Posted by: Jon Ben-Mayor on 06/14/2014 05:45 AM [ comments Comments ]

Here is another little quick bit of information on how to disable targeted ads on a smartphone. The steps are pretty easy, but doing so will keep those annoying ad suggestions off of your screen. The images will be for Android but the iPhone one is equally easy.

The Android requires you to go to Google Settings, then select Ads, once in the Ads section all you have to do is add a check mark to Opt out of interest-based ads and you are finished.

On the iPhone simply go to and select General, then Restrictions, Advertising, and then finally click Limit Ad Tracking. Voila! It is simple as that.
