Hutton Hotels are informing guests that their credit card info may have been stolen.
The Nashville hotel said that its payment company notified the hotel that a security incident and a follow up by an outside security firm found malware had been placed on its payment system. Captured were cardholder names, payment card account numbers, card expiration dates, and verification codes.
The investigation noted that the breach happened from September 19, 2012 to April 16, 2015. Furthermore, the onsite food and beverage outlets were breached between September 19, 2012 to January 15, 2015.
The company is trying to determine who might be affected and is cautioning guests to be aware.
Hutton is not the only one reporting a breach. In the last four weeks, Kimpton Hotels and HEI Hotels & Resorts each reported payment system breaches.
