A bug has been discovered that will cause your iPhone to shutdown, the culprit appears to be a simple string of text characters. If the text is received when the phone is locked, you are not still not safe, it will cause the phone to reboot.

According to The Verge, when it is received on an iPhone in iMessages, the string can lock people out of the app and — reportedly in some cases — crash the phone. Users who receive the string with Messages open won't be able to go back to other conversations without crashing the app, while users who get the string on their lock screen won't be able to open the iMessages app entirely.
Gizmodo notes that the damage can, however, be undone. If you have a Mac, you can simply reply to the offending text message in iMessage with any other string of text to stop it from crashing your iPhone.
We won't post the string here, however, it can be easily had at Reddit.
