Say hello to 28-year-old Donovan Russell Jester (ironic), who stole, crashed, then abandoned a beautiful, expensive boat in St Petersburg, Florida.

Jester stole the boat from a dock and crashed it into channel-marker pilings. He then abandoned the boat, which washed ashore.
We're guessing he though a yacht would drive like a pontoon boat. It takes a bit more skill than that, but one would assume alcohol was involved.
It took the police three months to catch up with Jester, and the bust was made due to a thumbprint found on the yacht.
Jester faces up to 30 years in prison. Imagine what you'd say when the inevitable "what are you in for" question comes up.
If you're in St. Petersburg, keep an eye out for a great deal on a Jeanneau Leader 46 that needs a little bodywork. Prices start new at 662k, so we're talking a million-dollar yacht here.
