Grand Theft Auto V will be released at midnight but Joystiq has a review in text and a 4:51 video.
Here is the video with a summary of what they have to say, as well as my thoughts, below that.
Bottom line:
According to Joystiq, the attempt to meld three characters and the storyline fall short, taking away a half point of their 4.5 rating. Many people find a storyline very important in a game but I never really cared. In the case of GTA, the storyline really just gives you a way, and a reason, to explore the large world. Once the story is complete, you can waste hours just wandering around. In other words, GTA V is the largest world ever created by Rockstar so the storyline is important to exploring more than anything else.
Finally, don’t forget the one thing they can’t review yet; online gameplay. Not only do we get to play the game, then explore the game but 2 weeks after release we get to go online.
