A new study by Kaspersky labs found that of the 18,000 users surveyed, most consumers don't have a clue when it comes to safely navigating the internet.
The bad news was that only 28% of the users could recognize a genuine web page without also selecting a phishing, or fake, web page.
It is even more serious in that 62% failed to come up with a more complicated password then the one currently being used.
The most dangerous behavior was disabling their protection software in order to download a program if it was preventing the download.
The only positive aspect of the survey was that a full 89% of respondents were able to recognize a phishing scam and delete it without opening it.
