To celebrate the release of her new album Artpop the singer made quite a pop of her own by hovering in a hex-copter dress inside the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
According to ECOUTERRE, the drone-dress was designed by Nancy Tilbury and controlled by a technician, the battery-controlled contraption features six booms in a hexagonal formation.

“Volantis,” as Gaga dubbed the dress, is not just a vehicle but a symbol of the future. “I wanted to make today about something even more important to me, and that something is the youth of the world,” Gaga told the crowd. “Although she is a vehicle, she is essentially a metaphor for me. I will be a vehicle today for their voices.”
Strapped to Volantis in little more than a black leotard and helmet, Gaga rose 70 inches above the pavement—not quite stratospheric heights, but still a “big-time step” for her, she said.
