Majorgeek sticks his toe in the Android pool

As you are well aware, Majorgeeks has been a huge supporter of Windows in our 12+ years in business. We like that we can modify our computers hardware and software. We like that we have access to literally millions of free downloads.

We are not snobs, however. We do have a Macintosh version of Majorgeeks and I have used the iPhone since it came out and even debated buying an iPad over the years but to be honest I think people look really silly carrying a gigantic iPhone around. It reminds me of my huge old 80’s cell phone that gave me carpal tunnel before computers. Remember these?

Anyway, we have become a fan of the Android operating system. What Microsoft Windows is to the computer, Android is to cell phones and tablets. We feel the war is all but over and it will be Android versus Apple for a long time to come. Microsoft is still trying and others have failed to make a dent while Android has managed to get into the 50% range in this area. We have watched this war for the last couple of years trying to decide where to best put our limited time into.

We have decided, as you might have noticed, to stick our toes in the water in Android downloads. We have only been posting the best; top rated downloads just like we always have done. We are not going to add every portable device operating system and every file available because that’s not what we do here. We want you here because you know you can trust that we only offer the best downloads. With Android being open to the public come similar risks that Windows has always had. Because of this you need to be careful downloading and we hope you come to trust us as we continue to expand the Android category. Yes, you can just as easily visit any Android store but we will hand pick the best, as we always have. Not simply the top downloads, top sellers, top free and other irrelevant categories you have come to expect from “app stores”.

Thanks for your support. With a handful of mega download sites that a couple people compete with, it is a daily challenge to get the word out there!

Our current download listings can be seen here.
