Apparently cats have been disappearing up the road from me in Port Saint Lucie, Florida and it turns out the culprit was a domestic 12 foot, 120 pound Burmese Python.
According to Wikipedia The Burmese python is one of the five largest snakes in the world. They are often found near water and are sometimes semi-aquatic, but can also be found in trees. Wild individuals average 12 ft long, but have been known to reach 19 ft.
Sort of makes me wonder how the owner didn't notice it was gone? That's one big snake!
