Reddit users need to be aware of a new drive-by-malware attack that is designed to steal users cryptowallets.
Although it is not clear as yet, it appears that the attackers are using malicious links on users who are watching the changes in the Bitcoin prices. The "bait" is "price update", which when clicked on, redirects the victim to a website called “CryptoChartiq”.
The details of the malware is coming from Reddit users with one victim posting that their account was hacked and then used to post malicious links which redirected users to the malware.
Another victim posted that their Bittrex e-wallet was hacked and funds were drained. He/she did not state specifics as to which type of currency was targeted or how much was lost.
