A man was arrested after attempting to rob an off duty deputy that was returning to his vehicle; the deputy had just exited the Marion County courthouse in Ocala, FL. when the the incident took place.
According to the Ocala Star Banner, Marion County Sheriff's Cpl. Timothy Liberatore said that, at about 9:15 a.m. Thursday, he was walking from the south side of the Marion County courthouse toward his vehicle. When he was 8 to 10 feet from the car Jackson approached with a towel wrapped around one hand.
He flicked the towel off, displayed a folding knife with a 4- to 5-inch blade, and asked Liberatore what was up, according to Ocala police.
Liberatore identified himself as a Marion County sheriff's deputy, drew his gun, pointed it at Jackson, and ordered him to drop the knife.
He then called for assistance. OPD Capt. Keith Escaravage arrived and handled the arrest.
Jackson was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
I do believe the expression on Mr. Jackson's face sums up the entire incident, don't you?
