An Illinois man has bitten off more than he can chew after police arrested the man on suspicion of DUI in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Rick Frederick, 22, of Sheridan, Ill., was placed in the back of an patrol car at which time he began to "gnaw on the molding."
In the report from the Rockford Register Star, Frederick made clear he didn't want to be taken in by LaSalle County sheriff's deputies, so Frederick resisted arrest and began chewing on the car molding after he was placed in the vehicle.
Frederick's 14 citations linked to the traffic stop now include criminal damage to government property, along with tickets alleging DUI, resisting arrest, obstructing identification, fleeing and eluding, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sheridan does not have a listed home telephone number. Online court records don't show whether he has an attorney.
