A man and his girlfriend in Mankato, MN., were both locked up after their date took a turn for the worse. Police were dispatched to the residence which they both share, after a child reported that the man had been stabbed in the face with a fork. Admit it, you were thinking something else.....
According to Twin Cities.com, Julian Guadalupe Pacheco, 40, had a wound on his left cheek and blood on his shirt. The police noted that there was a strong odor of alcohol.
Pacheco told police that Veronica Garcia, 37, wanted to drive around intoxicated after the date had ended, he convinced her to drop him off at home - which she did. He thought she had left the residence, but when he noticed that she was still there - a forking argument started.
"He stated that she picked up a fork in the kitchen and he asked her what she was going to do," the complaint said. "She came up to him and stabbed him in the left side of his face with the fork. He then stated he removed the fork from his face and threw it in the kitchen."
Pacheco admitted to police that he slapped Garcia in the face and also to grabbing her forearm earlier in the evening at one of bars they were drinking in.
Garcia was arrested and charged with a felony count of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon, while Pacheco received felony domestic assault.
