Man Sentenced to 135 Months for Child Exploitation

According to a release, Robert Stachura, a 45-year-old man from Sterling, N.Y., was sentenced on June 5 to 135 months in federal prison for using the internet to attempt to entice minors to engage in unlawful sexual conduct with him as well as having child pornography.
He admitting that he posted explicit ads on Craigslist with the intention of meeting up with minors for sexual activities and smoking marijuana.
An undercover detective responded to one of his ads and arranged to meet with Stachura. Stachura arranged a meeting for sex with who he believed was a 15-year-old and a 13-year-old.
The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office arrested him and seized his computers, on which there were 43 videos and three images of child pornography.
After serving his prison sentence, Stachura will still be faced with 20 years of supervision as well as having to register as a sex offender.
