A dispute between two men over a moped in the town of Clover, SC., leaves one man recovering from a gunshot to the groin. As if riding one isn't bad enough.
According to the report from the Charlotte Observer, Aundraveious McDowell, 19, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, said Lt. Tanner Davis with the Clover Police Department. He is held at the York County Detention Center, currently without bond.
At about 3:15 p.m., police were called to reports of a shooting at 113 Queensgate Road, where they found Warren Duvant, 22, suffering from a gunshot wound in his groin area, Davis said.
He was sitting in a chair on the front lawn as family members tried to tend to his wounds, he said. Duvant was conscious, able to tell police what happened and answer questions.
EMS took him to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, where he was in stable condition Friday afternoon.
A York County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit tracked McDowell to an apartment on Pinckney Street, Davis said. The suspect does not live there, police say, and told officers that he does not have a permanent address.
