A man was arrested at the Sweetbay grocery store in Venice, FL., for allegedly exposing himself to a woman as she was trying to get into her vehicle. The man claimed he did not realize that he was exposing himself; then later he let it all out and told the truth.
The Herald-Tribune reports that James Kenneth Cochran, 45, was arrested Friday in an incident that allegedly occurred on June 2 in the parking lot of the Sweetbay grocery on U.S. 41 Bypass.
As a woman approached her car, Cochran turned toward her in the parking lot with his blue jeans unzipped and his genitals out.
The woman told police that she hurried into her car to leave when Cochran faced her again and stared at her while she backed out of her parking spot. His genitals were still exposed, police said.
Police were able to track Cochran down using security video.
When interviewed by authorities last week, Cochran initially said he was drunk and was going to urinate next to the car. He said he did not realize that his genitals were exposed.
Later, police reported, Cochran admitted he sometimes exposed himself when he was drunk and was "very disappointed" in his behavior.
