Man's 'pack' tasered after cigarette butt dropped in LA (Video)

A man was tasered in the groin area after his father accidentally dropped a cigarette on the street in Los Angeles, CA. Daniel Johnson, 26, offered to pick the butt up, but he was met with genital tasering along with a body slam to the ground. Johnson's father is disabled and walks with a cane and often times drops things because of his disability.

According to NBC4 Los Angeles, the family has filed a civil rights lawsuit against the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department after deputies allegedly threw him to the ground and attacked him for asking if he could pick up his father's cigarette to avoid a $1,000 fine. The attack included a sustained tasering of Johnson's genitals until a burning flesh smell was produced.



LA County Sheriff's Department officials would not comment on the case except to describe one of the deputies in question as "the best deputy in the division."

Johnson, a graduate of University of California, Berkeley with no criminal history, said the battery charges were never filed and the case was dropped. He said he just hopes audio recordings or video exist of the confrontation.
