Jack Links beef jerky created a massive sculpture of Mount Rushmore to commemorate the third annual National Jerky Day which took place on June 12th.
A Jack Link’s representative told Gothamist that Meat Rushmore was made with meat products not suitable for consumption and also mentioned Jack Link’s donates its jerky products to charitable causes nationwide.
Uniting four American “heads of state” together in jerky – George Washington, Thomas Jefferson,
Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln – the 1,400 cubic foot Meat Rushmore jerky sculpture stood tall in Columbus Circle from sunup to sunset, giving New Yorkers and tourists alike an opportunity to pay homage to protein-packed snacking. Snack-lovers were also able to "meat" Jack Link’s brand icon Sasquatch.
How very odd and meaty....
